New headcanon. I think Featherweight McLargehooves has a nice ring to it!
Like her daughter Chrysalis could heal broken hearts and spread love and tolerance all over the world but Discord turned her into a heartless cruel monarch. At this time Cadence was just a foal. When sisters defeated Discord it was too late to save Chrysalis and she could hide it very well thank to her so nobody knew the truth though many ponies noticed that she was different, that she had become cold and distant. The younger sister became rulers of Equestria while Chrysalis ruled over their old kingdom. Later Luna was banished to the moon and the Queen Chrysalis finally revealed her secret to Celestia. Celestia saved her little niece and created some sort of magical wall between Equestria and their old kingdom. After some time Chrysalis finally lost her pony self, she bas become the first changeling and turned all her subjects into changelings as well. But Celestia didn’t know this because she wouldn’t dare facing her sister again
When Cadence was a foal she would ask Celestia about her mother and father many times but the princess would only sadly smile and say nothing. When Chrysalis revealed herself to everypony during the wedding Celestia was too shocked and devastated to see her sister again that’s why she couldn’t defeat her. She hoped that the Elements of Harmony would cure her but knew that the hope was faint. Anyway, she never told anybody about Chrysalis’s true self. And Chrysalis didn’t remember her past self any more.
